Jean-Baptiste PEINCEDE
(1741-1820) was the “guard of the books of the Chamber of Accounts of
Burgundy” of 1771 to 1786. During his passage at the Chambre, he
composed with his money the collection to which his name remained
attached and whose Archives of Côte-d'Or acquired after his death.
The Recueil de Peincedé is a corpus of the archives of the Chamber of
Accounts (13th-18th centuries). One can also find there descriptions of
seals and notes from documents now disappeared (notarial minutes,
titles of family, etc).
